Learn how your businesses, your careers, and your lives are impacted by technology
When I began to ask people in late 2016 what they know about Artificial Intelligence, my question was often met with a combination of a shoulder shrug and a suspicious “Why do you ask?”. It was my firm belief then as it is now that we have to change that dynamic to one where such a question initiates an informed and curious dialogue in the room. Appealing to a business community that does not yet see the need to engage in and addressing an audience that is not yet familiar with a topic, can be a formidable challenge. We have probably all been in presentations where we asked ourselves “Out of all the things we could have talked about, why did we pick this topic?” and we wanted those 60 or 90 minutes of our lives back. On the other hand, if you can build the bridge from knowing little or nothing to seeing the relevance for your personal career, for your business, for a community, an industry, or an entire region, the dynamic changes. People soak up the information and the questions keep on coming. Through presentations to Chambers of Commerce, Workforce Boards, Associations, and many other business audiences I have learned which facts and messages about technology driven disruption resonate (and which don’t).
Let’s work together to create an exciting learning experience and have your attendees ask you “Why didn’t we hear about this sooner?”.
